Podiatry

Your feet carry your whole body weight, and any imbalance eventually shows up in the knee, hip or back. In the podiatry clinic we look at how you stand and walk before deciding anything, and then suggest an insole, an orthotic device or treatment there and then. The service is run by podiatrist Albert Giralt.

We see everyone from children with flat feet or gait problems to older people who need regular care to walk without pain. In many cases the reason for the visit is resolved in a single session. Appointments are required; ask us about your insurance cover.

What we treat

Custom insoles. We design and make bespoke insoles to correct biomechanical problems, spread load and ease pain when walking.
Silicone orthoses. Custom-moulded silicone devices to protect and correct toe deformities such as bunions or hammer toes.
Calluses and corns. We remove hard skin and corns and look for the cause, so they are less likely to come back.
Verrucas and fungal infections. Diagnosis and treatment of plantar verrucas and fungal infections such as athlete's foot.
Ingrown toenails and nail fungus. Treatment of ingrown nails, nail fungus and other nail problems that hurt or rub inside your shoes.
Podiatry for older people. Regular foot care for older patients: nails, hard skin and skin checks, especially where there is diabetes or poor circulation.
Children's podiatry. Assessment of children's feet and gait: flat feet, toe walking or alignment problems best corrected while they grow.
