Family Medicine
General practice in Palafrugell: everyday illnesses, chronic condition follow-up, medical certificates and official check-ups.

Family Medicine
Family medicine is the first door you knock on when something is not right. The doctor assesses your symptoms, treats the most common conditions and decides whether a test or a specialist opinion is needed. It is also the service that follows people living with high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol or anticoagulant treatment.
At Centre Mèdic Palafrugell we see patients by appointment, with enough time to talk things through. If a blood test, an X-ray or an ultrasound scan is needed, they are done in the same building on Plaça de Catalunya and the doctor who saw you goes through the results with you. We work with more than 40 health insurers and also take private appointments.

Frequently asked questions about Family Medicine
Do I need an appointment for a family medicine consultation?
Yes: all appointments are booked in advance. You can ring 972 30 65 65, use the appointment form or the online booking portal, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm. If your problem is acute, say so when you book and we will try to fit you in the same day during opening hours.
Can I have my blood test or X-ray done at the same centre in Palafrugell?
Yes. X-rays, ultrasound scans and blood sample collection are all done in the same building on Plaça de Catalunya in Palafrugell, and the doctor who saw you goes through the results with you. It saves you travelling and shortens the time between the appointment and the diagnosis.
What should I bring to the appointment?
Bring your ID, your insurance card and the medication you take, or a photo of the boxes. If you have recent reports, blood tests or scans, bring those too: they save repeating tests. We work with more than 40 health insurers and also see private patients.
