Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy takes place at the Physiotherapy and Dental Clinic building on Carrer de Sant Sebastià, 87, a few minutes from the main centre. We always start with an assessment to understand where the pain comes from and how it limits you. From there we build a treatment plan with a clear goal and an expected number of sessions, reviewing it as you progress.

The team is Marc Puig, who focuses on therapeutic exercise and return-to-sport work; Imma Soler, with a postgraduate degree in traumatology and orthopaedic surgery and training in dry needling and EPTE®; and Rebeca Gómez, who specialises in temporomandibular joint dysfunction, instrumental fibrolysis and dry needling. We see both insured and private patients, always by appointment.

Treatments

Services in this specialty: Physiotherapy

  • Rehabilitation and therapeutic exercise. Restoring movement, strength and function after an injury, an operation or an episode of pain. It combines hands-on work with a prescribed exercise programme you continue at home.
  • Massage therapy. Therapeutic massage to relax muscles, ease tension and improve circulation in the area being treated.
  • Functional taping and McConnell technique. Taping that stabilises and protects a joint without fully immobilising it, useful for returning to activity safely.
  • Instrumental fibrolysis with hooks. A hook-based technique that works on adhesions between tissues to restore glide and regain movement.
  • TMJ physiotherapy. Treatment of temporomandibular joint dysfunction: pain on opening the mouth, clicking, bruxism and jaw tension.
  • Electrotherapy. TENS, electrical stimulation and magnetotherapy to modulate pain, activate muscles and support tissue recovery.
  • Heat, cold and paraffin therapy. Heat, cold or paraffin applied according to the stage of the injury, often to prepare the area before hands-on work.
  • Dry needling. A fine needle inserted into the muscle trigger point to reduce myofascial pain and normalise muscle tone.
  • EPTE® and neuromodulation. Percutaneous therapeutic electrolysis to stimulate repair in tendons and soft tissue, and neuromodulation to act on the nerve involved in the pain.
