1. Background

In accordance with article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), we inform you about the cookies used on the website of Centre Mèdic Palafrugell, S.L. and why we use them.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file that your browser stores on your device when you visit certain websites. Among other things, cookies allow a website to store and retrieve information about browsing from that device and, depending on the information they contain, they may be used to recognise the user. By who manages them, cookies can be first-party (sent from a domain managed by the site owner) or third-party (sent from a domain managed by another entity, which processes the data obtained).

By purpose, they can be technical (needed to browse and use the site's services, such as remembering a choice or protecting a form), preference (remembering options such as language), analytics (measuring how the site is used in order to improve it) or behavioural advertising (building a profile to show ads). Technical cookies and preference cookies chosen by the user do not require consent; the others do.

By duration, they can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a set period, from a few minutes to several years).

4. Cookies used on this website

This website only sets one first-party technical cookie to remember your cookie choice and, on the contact page, the reCAPTCHA security cookie. Google Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them: until then, your browser makes no request to Google Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.

We also use Rybbit, our own cookie-free analytics: it stores nothing on your device and therefore works without depending on the banner. It counts visits and page views in aggregate; we explain it in the Privacy Policy.

5. Withdrawing consent and deleting cookies

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, from the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page or with the button below: the banner appears again and, if you choose “Essential only”, Google Analytics stops immediately and its cookies (_ga and _ga_*) are deleted.

You can also accept, block or delete cookies in your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
